Constant Reception

Croatia

For a long time the reception of FM radios from Croatiaiin Bulgaria was thought to be only possible during tropo conditions. However, it appeared that although with a varying quality depending on tropo, a few Croatian radios are always present in the mountains of western Bulgaria and the lowlands of the far northwest.

These are:

88,3— HRT HR1— Vinkovci/Borinci

105,3— HRT Radio Osijek— Vinkvoci/Borinci

106,2— Slavonski Radio— Belje

These FM-signals can always be received on the western slope of Vitosha mountain (Sofia Grad and Pernik regions) and on Golo Brdo mountain (Perink). Distances range from 450 to 500 kilometers.
